Hey guys I hope you all are doing well!!! We both love road trips and here is another vlog where we have shared another hidden gem of Karnataka i.e. GUNDAL DAM. GUNDAL DAM, a reservoir located in Kollegal Taluk, Chamarajnagar District, Karnataka – At a distance of 15km (approx.) from Kollegal. Gundal Dam is 158 km from Bengaluru, 250 km from Tamil Nadu, 275 km from Kerala, 80kms from Mysore, and 17 km from Kollegal town. Kollegal is one of the major taluks in the Chamrajnagar District of Karnataka State in the south of India, at the foothills of the Western Ghats. It is also the largest taluk in Karnataka. Kollegal is well known for its silk industry which attracts traders from all over the state. Gundal Dam is built on River Gundal. It is the Sub-basin of the river Cauvery. The Gundal Dam was Completed in the year 1980. Gundal Dam was built to help the Irrigation of various villages around the area. The reservoir gets filled from July To November. The drive along the roads to the dam is brilliant, except for the last 5kms to the dam entrance. This place is located in the Western Ghats hill range starting from Kerala and ending in Tamil Nadu.
